Steps Unlock ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The following data is stored on your device only and never sent to our servers:
Steps Unlock reads step count data from Apple Health to track your daily walking progress. This data is read locally on your device, never uploaded to any server, never shared with third parties, and used solely to determine whether your daily step goal has been met. We do not write data to Apple Health.
Steps Unlock uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivityMonitor) to lock and unlock apps based on your step goal. App selection tokens are stored locally, never transmitted off your device, and managed entirely through Apple's privacy-preserving framework. We cannot see which specific apps you selected — only opaque tokens.
Steps Unlock sends local notifications (step reminders, goal progress, unlock alerts). These are generated entirely on your device. We do not use push notification servers.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. RevenueCat manages subscription status using anonymous identifiers. We do not store credit card numbers or billing addresses.
Steps Unlock does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
All app data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. RevenueCat retains anonymous subscription records according to their retention policy.
Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to delete, export, or modify. All your data lives on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
